Who we work with in DC
Organizations that hold sensitive data and answer to a board, a client or the public.
Associations
National membership organizations with boards, member databases and payment systems, where a breach is also a governance question.
Law and policy firms
Firms that hold privileged client material and are asked by clients, insurers and courts how it is protected.

Organizations that handle donor, grantee and beneficiary data with lean staff and nobody who owns security full time.
Family offices
Offices that manage the finances, homes and travel of a family whose public profile makes them a target.
Executives in public life
Leaders whose work puts them in the news, and whose personal accounts and families become the easier way in.
What is different in the District
Three things we see shape security work here.
The District's breach law
DC's data breach law, strengthened in 2020, expects businesses that hold residents' personal information to keep reasonable security safeguards and to notify affected people when that information is exposed. We help you show the safeguards exist.
Boards that govern
Many DC organizations answer to volunteer or appointed boards. Those boards increasingly want a plain-language account of cyber risk, and a named owner for it.
Visibility as a risk
Proximity to government and media means leaders here are more visible than most. Their personal exposure is part of the organization's exposure.
